Meet Dr. Haas

Dr. Derek Haas was born and raised in Northwest Indiana. He decided that cold weather was not for him and fled south for his medical training. He obtained his medical degree from Indiana University (Indianapolis) and completed his OBGYN residency at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. He continued further south to Dallas to pursue fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

He has been in private practice in DFW since 2005. He has conducted research in polycystic ovarian syndrome and continues to have a special interest in that topic. He has presented his findings at national scientific meetings and been published in prominent peer-reviewed journals (Fertility and Sterility, Molecular Endocrinology).

Dr. Haas is proficient at all aspects of infertility care including assisted reproductive technologies. He believes that patients should play an active role in their medical care. He likes to create a non-stressful office environment so the patient enjoys their experience as much as possible. He has been selected to Texas Super Doctors 2014 to 2017.

In his spare time, Dr. Haas likes to read science fiction novels, cook, bake, and obsess over Game of Thrones (Team Stark).
